ADKHunter was launched in October of 2000, one day before that year's deer season opened. We're well over 100,000 visitors (that we know of) from as far away as Alaska and many from within our prized Adirondack Park. While this site is primarily an Adirondack site, we do get pictures and stories from hunters in the Southern Zone and in other states.

This webmaster and hunter was born and raised in the Adirondacks and even though I've never killed a record book buck, I am very happy with the success I've had and love to talk shop with other hunters. This site is a chance for me to do just that as well as learn a thing or two and share it with other hunters.

When I'm not hunting, working or playing around with this web site I write outdoor articles for the Chronicle newspaper in Glens Falls, NY,  Vermont's Outdoors Magazine and most recently, New York Outdoor News.  Check them out if you get a chance. My other hobby/job is playing music as I've been a musician most of my life. But I don't do much of that during hunting season.
